JAPANESE CALLIGRAPHY Practical in-person Japanese calligraphy workshop for all levels Prof. Elena Hikari Shodo, a unique, pure and sincere discipline like few others, which connects you with the "now" from the moment you pick up your brush. Designed for all those who want to start practicing Japanese calligraphy, as well as for those who wish to continue their learning with this intensive weekend workshop. For those attending for the first time, in addition to starting to get in touch with the use of oriental writing tools and learning more about them, we will learn the differences between two of the most important styles in the study of Shodo: the Kaisho or regular style, and the Gyousho or semi-cursive style. And for all those who have already completed an initiation, they will begin a new work proposed by the teacher. If you want to practice something specific, consult with the teacher. ------------------------------------------------ DATE: Sunday, October 27, 2024 SCHEDULE: Group I: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. /// Group II: 4pm to 8pm.
