Painting Classes

JAPANESE PAINTING Regular classes in Madrid *Starts September 2, 2024* In these classes we study the most important motifs within the oriental pictorial tradition (Chinese and Japanese), using mainly Chinese ink and specific brushes to approach the different degrees of humidity and varied registers of gray within the pictorial field and to understand the ways of creating an ancient paradigm based on wisdom. In the painting classes, humility, patience and NON-competition are worked on. Intuition, flexibility, confidence and appreciation of small details are developed. Activities: we paint, we make guided presentations of classical Chinese and Japanese painters, we read specific texts and comment on them, we learn about materials, we copy other people's good ideas and above all we develop our creative potential with specific tools. ----------------------- DAYS AND TIMES: MONDAY: GROUP I: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. GROUP II: 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Location: C/ Calatrava 9, La Latina (Madrid) LIMITED SEATING ---------- WEDNESDAY: GROUP I: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. GROUP II: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Location: C/ Laín Calvo, 7, Puerta del Ángel (Madrid) LIMITED SEATING ------------------------------------------------------------- MATERIALS: - Materials ARE NOT INCLUDED.
