Mountain Laboratory

SPOT PAINTING LABORATORY for the creation of mountains in the Eastern painting tradition

"Sublime eminences; high, thin but proud peak; humbly extended undulating mountains; secret refuges in the form of sanctuaries and steely peaks with culminating points (...)" (Fragment from Wang LÜ - Ts'ing Dynasty). These and other images of mountains are the ones we will work on in an intensely creative day of seven hours.
It involves working with tracing, copying, printing and immersion procedures so that the stains that emerge suggest the landscapes already contained in their watery forms. This workshop begins with a one-hour projection of images where we can observe the different types of perspectives present in the classic paintings of the Chinese tradition and then have precise tools for creation.
